GI Pro are recruiting for a MIG / TIG Welder Fabricator for our engineering client based in Northampton.

Offering a pay rate of £14ph - £14.50ph.

Working day shifts Monday to Friday with overtime paid at enhanced rates.

This is a permanent contract.

The client

Specialist supplier/manufacturer of bespoke lifting equipment and general fabrications.

The job responsibilities

• MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel mostly from 3mil - 8mil.
• Producing lifting equipment, from standard steel stock sections and machined parts.
• MIG 90% / TIG 10%.
• Fabricating using press drills, cutting and chop saws, hand, and air tools.
• Tack, weld, grind, and finish products.
• Quality inspection.

The candidate requirements

• Ability to MIG weld and fabricate on mild steel from engineering drawings (minimum 3 years experience).
• TIG welding experience is an advantage but not essential.
