Job summary

Modis is seeking a Regional IT Field Engineer for the Midlands. The role covers hands-on IT across multiple sites with travel across the Midlands and occasional wider UK travel. You’ll support Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Intune, Apple devices, and local apps while coordinating Meraki/UniFi networks and large-scale rollouts.

The position is 40 hours per week with occasional out-of-hours work. A full driving licence is required, and prior field IT experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in field/travelling IT support roles.
• Willingness to travel across Midlands sites and occasional wider UK travel.
• Comfortable working on-site, diagnosing hardware, networking and software issues.

Responsibilities

• Own IT across a regional network of sites with hands-on support, rollouts, upgrades and improvements.
• Balance day-to-day support (60%) with project work (40%).
• Support Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Intune, Apple devices and local apps; manage networking using Meraki/UniFi.
• Lead Intune deployments and Windows 10/11 compliance.
• Assess sites, recommend improvements and oversee third-party installations.
• Maintain clear ticket updates and communicate progress to stakeholders.
