Job summary

Dains IT team is a dynamic group supporting the company’s technology infrastructure. As Regional Support Engineer for the Midlands, you will act as the primary IT contact across offices, ensuring connectivity and effective tech support for regional teams.

You will report to the Helpdesk Manager and drive regional IT projects, asset management, and security compliance while collaborating with the national IT team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of IT Support, infrastructure management, or similar role.
• Proven experience managing regional or multi-site IT operations.
• Solid understanding of Office 365 and Windows operating systems, as well as cloud platforms (Azure).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco Meraki and networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).

Responsibilities

• Be the main IT contact for Midlands offices and regional IT queries.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network systems, servers, and storage solutions.
• Ensure availability and reliability of IT services (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, cloud).
• Provide technical support to employees both onsite and remotely.
• Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues quickly.
• Lead IT projects such as system rollouts, upgrades, migrations.
• Collaborate with national IT team to deploy new technologies and standards.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures and security.
