Job summary

Ex-Mil Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Engineer for the Birmingham/Midlands region. This hands-on, customer-facing role involves installing, maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting a range of IT networking hardware across customer sites.

The candidate should be capable of working independently, travelling to sites, and handling technical problems. On-call and overtime opportunities are available, with a company vehicle and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT networking and hardware installation/maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work to deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently at customer locations.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to install, maintain, configure and troubleshoot IT networking hardware.
• Configure equipment to technical specs and customer requirements.
• Test installations to ensure full operation before leaving site.
• Maintain records, asset information and documentation.
• Liaise with customers and Service Desk for updates.
