Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment in Brackley is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to provide onsite IT support across client locations within an 80km radius. You will handle hardware replacement, device setup, incidents and service requests, owning tasks through to resolution and maintaining accurate asset records.

This hands-on role requires problem-solving, strong communication with users, and willingness to travel to remote sites with a UK driving licence.

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Engineer to provide dedicated onsite IT support for an excellent client. You'll support IT projects, incidents, and service requests across multiple client locations, with a particular focus on hardware replacement, device setup, troubleshooting and maintaining accurate asset records. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with users, and taking ownership of tasks through to completion.

The office is based in Brackley and the client sites you'll be responsible for are within an 80km distance of this location. As well as a competitive salary, you will also be entitled to a £450 per month car allowance and milage.

Role responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical and end-user support across client locations

Skills Required

• At least 1 years' experience in an IT support, Field Engineer, or similar technical role
• Hands-on experience with laptop builds, mobile device setup and hardware replacement
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, desktop operating systems, and workstation hardware
• Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, and Cisco Meraki
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Ability to take ownership of technical issues and see them through to completion
• Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to remote client sites
