Job summary

TD Recruitment are working with an established metal recycling business to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new industrial contracts and grow existing commercial relationships across the Midlands.

In this role you will visit customers, win contracts and expand key accounts, building relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, demolition companies and industrial waste producers. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Midlands are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience in metal recycling or related industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of industrial and commercial customers.
• Experience winning contracts, not only inbound inquiries.
• Existing network in relevant industries is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confident engaging with decision-makers at all levels.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage own workload and pipeline.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target new industrial and commercial customers.
• Win contracts and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Grow existing accounts and increase contract value.
• Visit customers and prospective clients across the Midlands.
• Negotiate commercial agreements through to contract.
• Manage sales pipeline and follow up opportunities.
• Work toward agreed business development and sales targets.
