Job summary

TD Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new industrial contracts and strengthen key accounts across the Midlands.

You will win new business, build lasting relationships with manufacturers, fabricators and industrial waste customers, and manage your own sales pipeline to meet ambitious targets. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Midlands are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience.
• Experience within metal recycling, scrap, waste, manufacturing, industrial services or a related sector.
• Strong understanding of industrial and commercial customers.
• Experience winning contracts rather than simply managing inbound enquiries.
• Existing network or book of business within relevant industries advantageous.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Confidence dealing with decision-makers at all levels.
• Proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to manage your own workload and sales pipeline.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target new industrial and commercial customers.
• Win new contracts and develop new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Grow existing accounts and increase contract value.
• Develop relationships with manufacturers, fabricators, demolition companies and industrial waste producers.
• Visit customers and prospective clients across the Midlands.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and progress opportunities through to contract.
• Manage your own sales pipeline and follow up new opportunities.
• Work towards agreed business development and sales targets.
• Keep up to date with market opportunities and competitor activity.
• Represent the company professionally at customer meetings and site visits.
