Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor for Duckmanton Primary School. The role is part-time (6.25 hours per week on weekdays 11:45–13:00), fixed-term for 6 months during term time, with an immediate start.

You will help supervise pupils at lunchtime, promote positive behaviour, and support safe, enjoyable meals in a busy school environment. You will be a calm, approachable team player with good communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Lunchtime supervision to ensure safety and well-being.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good manners.
• Able to follow safeguarding procedures and policies.
• First aid training would be advantageous, but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining areas and around the school.
• Support meal service operations and cleanliness.
• Respond calmly to incidents and welfare concerns.

Do you enjoy working with children and helping to create a safe, happy, and positive school environment? We are seeking a caring and reliable Midday Supervisor to join our team and play an important role in ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised experience for all pupils.

About you…

You will be a responsible, enthusiastic, and approachable individual who enjoys interacting with children and creating positive relationships. You will have excellent communication skills, a calm and patient manner, and the ability to encourage good behaviour while supporting pupils' health, safety, and wellbeing. You will be a team player who can adapt to different situations and is committed to maintaining a nurturing and inclusive environment. First aid training would be advantageous, although full training can be provided for the right candidate.

As a Midday Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, both in dining areas and around the school site. You will help promote positive behaviour, ensure the safety and welfare of pupils, support the smooth operation of meal services, and respond appropriately to incidents or concerns. This rewarding role provides an opportunity to make a real difference to children's daily school experience and contribute to a positive and enjoyable lunchtime environment.
