Job summary

Minerva Learning Trust is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor in Sheffield to supervise pupils before, during and after the midday meal, including those bringing sandwiches. The role requires a flexible approach and confident classroom presence.

You will oversee entry into the dining area, supervise pupils during any journey to the dining room and in the playground, and liaise with staff. Start date as soon as possible; closing date 28 September 2026; DBS check required.

• Good communication skills and ability to work with young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of pupils immediately before, during and after the midday meal, including those with sandwiches.
• Supervision of pupils entering the dining area and during any walk to the dining room.
• Supervision of pupils in the playground.

Job description

Actual Annual Salary: £4081.12 (under 5 years service)

Contract: Permanent, Part-time: 7.08 hours per week 1 hour 25 minutes

Start date: As soon as possible

We are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor with well-developed interpersonal skills to:

• Supervision of pupils immediately before, during and after the midday meal. This includes provision for children who bring sandwiches.
• Supervision of the pupil’s entry into the dining area, including supervision of pupils during any journey or walk to the dining room.
• Supervision of pupils in the playground

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach and the confidence and presence to manage whole classes in a professional manner. Applicants should have good communication skills and the ability and desire to work with young people.

Closing Date is 9:00am on Monday 28 September 2026 and interviews will take place on Monday 5 th October 2026
