Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking conscientious, enthusiastic Midday Supervisors to support pupils during lunch and playtimes. The role is part-time during term time, with shifts up to 1 hour 30 minutes between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm, and opportunities to join our relief bank.

You will supervise dining, assist with meals, monitor playgrounds, and help record incidents. Experience with primary children and a willingness to work as part of a friendly school team are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with primary age children
• Ability to encourage and inspire young people
• A team player who understands school roles and responsibilities
• Food hygiene certificate would be advantageous
• First aid certificate would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining hall by setting out furniture, plates, cutlery etc.
• Supervising and assisting children in the dining hall while eating.
• Supervising in the playground after children have finished eating.
• Recording any incidents or accidents.
• Clearing away furniture and eating utensils.
• Cleaning the dining hall ready for use by afternoon classes.

We're looking for conscientious, enthusiastic and flexible Midday Supervisors who are hardworking and energetic and who have high expectations of pupils and a good sense of humour and fun.

This role is part time during term time: Up to 1 hr 30 mins between 11:30 am & 1 :30 pm depending on the requirements

In this instance, we are hoping to recruit both temporary and additional staff to our bank of relief Midday Supervisors.

The main Duties

• Prepare dining hall by setting out furniture, plates, cutlery etc


• Supervising and assisting children in the dining hall while eating.


• Supervising in the playground after children have finished eating.


• Recording any incidents or accidents


• Clearing away furniture and eating utensils


• Cleaning the dining hall ready for use by afternoon classes.

What we are looking for:

• Experience of working with primary age children, including children with additional needs.


• The ability to encourage and inspire young people


• An effective team worker, who understands a school's roles and responsibilities and their own position within these.


• Food hygiene and first aid certificates would be advantageous.
