The role

Atom Learning is looking for a Product Designer to join the design team!

You will work in an agile environment to rapidly create user-centered designs through research, wireframing, prototyping, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility, while maintaining a high standard of UX and UI.

Experience is important, but we’re looking for a person with the right mindset: proactive, motivated, design-lover and a team player.

What you will do

• You will develop wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively conceptualise and communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to help define feature requirements.
• You will be the product designer within a cross-functional development team. Plus you’ll be part of the wider Product team, who you can rely on to share and collect feedback on your designs.
• You will work with your Product Manager to architect the short and long term vision for the education experience.
• You will contribute to a positive and collaborative product design team culture.
• As an active contributor in the Product team, you will share approaches and ideas to improve ways of working.
• Aim for the top. Help elevate product design to the next stage of excellence. Help us compete with the best!

Who you are

• You LOVE being a designer and have excellent attention to detail.
• You have a portfolio of work demonstrating a history of creating customer-focused, simple and intuitive designs from product discovery to continuous improvements.
• Proficiency using the latest design tools, including Figma and user testing tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to present to, influence and take onboard feedback from other Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and the senior leadership team (SLT).
• Ability to define and drive your priorities and requirements to reach your goals, with input from managers and other leaders.
• Ability to drive usability research to test design concepts with customers.
• Experience working on design projects in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team including designers, product managers, and software developers.
• Experience working within a fast paced, agile environment.
• Familiarity with research methodologies and turning customer feedback into actionable findings.
• Experience designing responsive websites and apps (mobile, tablet, desktop).
• You have a passion for improving people’s lives through quality design.
