Job Description

OHL Line Design Engineer / Overhead Line Design Engineers are sought by a leading transmission and distribution engineering consultancy to work on large-scale HV projects across England and Scotland, aiming to enhance UK network capacity and support the transition to net zero by 2050.

This role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to meetings or clients. Salary is circa £50-85k plus benefits and bonus. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

The position is suitable for Mid to Senior level Overhead Line Design Engineers from consultancy or energy/distribution sectors and offers excellent progression opportunities and involvement in diverse projects.

Key Skills

• Experience in high voltage Overhead Line (OHL) design or transmission engineering (132kV - 400kV)
• Proficiency in PLS CADD/Tower software
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Effective remote teamwork skills using collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
• Understanding of Health and Safety considerations in transmission line projects

Desirable Skills

• Experience with CAD software
• Ability to develop PLS CADD models from topographical data
