Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a mid-level PHP Developer with strong PHP 8+ and Laravel experience to join our in-house development team in Bury. You’ll work on business-critical applications within a collaborative team, delivering SPAs with Vue 3 and TypeScript.

Key responsibilities include building backend services, writing unit tests with PHPUnit, and integrating GraphQL, Docker, and CI/CD workflows. On-site role with occasional remote option after probation.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience with PHP 8+ and Laravel.
• Strong Vue 3 Composition API and SPA development experience.
• Solid MySQL skills and query optimization.
• Experience writing PHPUnit tests and applying TDD.
• Hands-on Docker usage and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborative development with regular code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and features using PHP and Laravel.
• Develop SPAs with Vue 3 and Composition API.
• Work with TypeScript and GraphQL.
• Write feature tests using PHPUnit and TDD.
• Optimize MySQL performance and containerized apps.
• Utilize Docker and GitHub Actions CI/CD in workflows.
• Develop real-time features with Soketi/WebSockets.
• Integrate Microsoft Graph and other APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
