Job summary
EMBL-EBI in Hinxton is recruiting two Systems Administrators to manage and develop our Microsoft and cloud services, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365, Azure and endpoint management. You will lead Windows infrastructure projects, support the Linux desktop, and contribute to security and documentation in a hybrid environment.
The role includes hybrid working patterns, a 3-year fixed-term contract renewable to 9 years, and a competitive salary with benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and endpoint management.
- Experience in on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including hybrid setups.
- Strong English communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, install, administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure and enterprise services.
- Administer Intune and device enrollment, configuration and policies.
- Maintain hybrid infrastructure with Active Directory integration.
- Plan and implement Windows infrastructure projects and migrations.
- Monitor service performance and improve IT services.
- Ensure IT security and maintain documentation.
- Provide staff support and training.
- Support Linux desktop as needed.
