Job summary

EMBL-EBI is seeking two Systems Administrators to deliver, maintain and develop our Microsoft and cloud services. You will focus on Microsoft 365, Azure and endpoint management while supporting our Linux desktop environment, combining hands-on admin with project delivery and user support.

You will own Windows infrastructure, contribute to migrations, and help ensure security and reliability for our scientific community. Hybrid work and project-driven improvements are core to the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in user support and Windows systems administration (AD/DNS/DHCP).
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 enterprise services and tenant configurations.
• Experience with Azure services and identity management.
• Strong familiarity with Intune/Endpoint Manager and endpoint policies.
• Experience designing and migrating to hybrid Microsoft environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, administer and maintain Microsoft 365/Azure and hybrid services.
• Lead endpoint management with Intune, device enrollment and policy deployment.
• Maintain on-premises Active Directory and integration with cloud services.
• Plan and implement Windows infrastructure projects and migrations to cloud/hybrid environments.
• Monitor service performance and drive improvements while ensuring security and compliance.
• Document configurations and IT security requirements; provide user support and training.
