Job summary

East Midlands Combined County Authority is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to support and develop the Microsoft cloud and endpoint environment. The role is hands-on, combining second line support with improvements to services, security, and governance.

You will work across Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune/Autopilot and endpoint security, coordinate with MSP and SOC, and contribute to cyber assurance and service governance.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and supporting Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive, Teams).
• Knowledge of Azure/Entra ID, Intune/Autopilot and endpoint security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical administration and support for Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Intune/Autopilot, and endpoint security baselines.
• Resolve incidents and service requests, including escalated issues, with accurate logging and timely resolution.
• Deliver onsite support and equipment installations across EMCCA sites, coordinating changes with the MSP.
• Administer identity and access management: licences, enterprise applications (SSO), and Conditional Access policies.
• Apply configurations, compliance and security policies via Intune/Autopilot and manage device lifecycle.
