Public Health Wales Microbiology operates as a network of laboratories with Regional Laboratories across Wales. We are seeking a Biomedical Support Worker to join the Microbiology team based at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth.

Candidates will need to be enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities supported by scientific knowledge. Have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to lead and support individual and team

Qualifikationen

• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for basic tasks (e.g., pipetting).
• Able to work reliably and efficiently on own initiative.
• Proactive approach to workload organisation, prioritising tasks and resources.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and complex protocols.

• Participate in routine laboratory tasks including quality control, specimen processing, and equipment maintenance.
• Operate automated equipment, handle waste disposal, and perform clerical duties as required.
• Support microbiological diagnostic services alongside BMS staff and adhere to H&S procedures.
