Public Health Wales Microbiology operates as a network of laboratories with regional laboratories across Wales. We are seeking a Biomedical Support Worker to join the Microbiology team based at Glangwilli Hospital, Carmarthen, who is enthusiastic, well-motivated and innovative, with good organisational and practical abilities.

You should have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to lead and support individual and team working. Interviews will be face to face only.

Qualifikationen

• GCSE English, Maths and a Science-related subject or equivalent.
• IBMS certificate of achievement.

Aufgaben

• Participate in routine laboratory tasks including quality control and specimen processing.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment and automated systems.
• Support microbiological diagnostic services with qualified staff while adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Experience with laboratory computer systems and weekend/overtime duties.
