Job summary

AFI Group is hiring a MEWPS Engineer in Wakefield. The role covers PDI, servicing, LOLER inspections, and repairs on our rental fleet. You will respond to breakdowns and document all checks using a PDA, while maintaining high machine availability.

The candidate should have an engineering qualification (NVQ2 or equivalent), be able to fault-find electro/hydraulic systems, and communicate professionally with customers and colleagues. IPAF licence is required; CAP licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (ideally plant maintenance).
• Electro/hydraulic systems knowledge.
• Experience in fault-finding/diagnostics.
• Professional communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to prioritise tasks in a busy hire environment.
• IPAF Operator licence required.
• CAP licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs and updates on fleet.
• Attend breakdowns on customer sites and maintain machine availability.
• Record checks using PDA and follow company procedures.
• Work with engineering team and hire office to ensure depot machine availability.
