Job summary

AFI group of companies is seeking a MEWPS Engineer in Caldicot to service and inspect our fleet of rental machines and uphold our high service standards. You will perform PDIs, services, LOLER inspections, and repairs; attend breakdowns on customer sites; record checks on a PDA and coordinate with the engineering team to maximise machine availability.

A plant maintenance qualification (NVQ level 2) and experience with electro/hydraulic systems are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent).
• Competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
• Experienced in fault-finding/diagnostics.
• Professional communication with customers and colleagues.
• IPAF licence required; CAP licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform PDIs, services, LOLER inspections, repairs and updates.
• Attend breakdowns on customer sites.
• Record checks on a PDA and follow procedure.
• Coordinate with the engineering team and hire office to maximise availability.
