Job summary

AFI group of companies in the UK is seeking a MEWPS Engineer in Caldicot. The role involves PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections, and fault-finding on powered access equipment, with a focus on keeping the fleet reliable and compliant. You will attend site breakdowns, update records on a PDA, and liaise with the hire office to maximise machine availability. Applicants should have an engineering qualification (NVQ2) and IPAF/CAP where possible.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (NVQ level 2 or equivalent) required.
• Experience with fault-finding in electro/hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections and repairs.
• Attend breakdowns on customer sites.
• Record checks using PDA and follow procedures.
• Maintain maximum machine availability through coordination.
