Job summary

British Gas is offering a Metering apprenticeship that teaches you how to install and repair meters while helping customers understand how to manage their energy use.

You will learn hands-on skills, be supported by expert mentors, and earn recognised qualifications through our UK academies. The role involves visiting homes and building confidence with new technology. London weighting may apply, and an expensed vehicle is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install and repair meters and related equipment.
• Explain and reassure customers to help them get the best from their energy use.
• Visit homes in your local area to support customers with new technology and energy awareness.
• Attend training at National academies with accommodation and travel provided as needed.
