Job summary

British Gas is offering a Metering apprentice role where you will learn to install and repair meters, and help customers get the most from their energy use.

You’ll work with experienced engineers, visit homes in your local area, and develop hands-on skills while earning recognised qualifications. Starting salary increases with progression, with London weighting and a company van provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
• Willingness to train at one of four UK academies with accommodation and travel provided.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to install and repair meters and explain energy use to customers.
• Visit customers in their homes to help them feel in control of new technology.
• Benefit from coaching by experienced engineers and progression through the apprenticeship.
