Job summary

British Gas is offering a Metering apprenticeship where you will learn to install and repair meters, explain and reassure customers, and gain recognised qualifications.

You'll work with experienced engineers visiting homes in your local area, supported by award-winning academies and coaching to develop hands-on skills and confidence with new technology. The program includes progression, London weighting, a company van, and accommodation if needed.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent.
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Visiting homes in your local area to explain and demonstrate new technology.
• Help customers feel comfortable with their energy usage and take control of their energy.
• Learn from experienced engineers and coaches to develop hands-on skills and qualifications.
