Job summary

American Society of Civil Engineers is seeking an Apprentice Metering Engineer to train across UK academies, learning meter installation, data interpretation and customer support. You will visit homes in your local area and develop hands-on skills with expert coaching.

The programme rewards progression from starting salary to higher levels, with London Weighting and an expensed electric van. Accommodation and travel for training are provided where needed.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs, ideally including Maths & English, at grade C/4 or above or a recognised equivalent
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
• Availability to attend training at one of our four UK academies with accommodation and travel provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in metering installation and maintenance while learning on-the-job
• Explain and support customers to understand energy data and usage
• Attend training at academy and visit customers in local area under guidance.
• Support the team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable meter services.
