Job summary

ARC Recruits is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a busy accident repair centre in the United Kingdom. The role involves stripping and refitting vehicles to manufacturer standards, diagnosing faults and working with ADAS systems, while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.

You will join an established repair team, handling a wide range of makes and models in a fast-paced environment. A valid UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician or Strip & Fit Technician in an accident repair centre or body shop.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diverse makes/models.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain high quality repairs.

Responsibilities of a MET Technician

As an MET Technician, your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping damaged vehicles ready for repair.
• Refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components following repair.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs where required.
• Removing and replacing vehicle components safely and efficiently.
• Working with ADAS systems and carrying out calibrations where required.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and industry standards.
• Liaising with workshop colleagues to ensure repairs are completed on time.
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

Requirements for MET Technician

• Previous experience as an MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician within an accident repair centre or body shop.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle systems.
• Experience working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to quality repairs.
• ATA accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
