Job summary

Clear Automotive in Bristol is seeking an experienced MET Technician and Strip & Fitter to join a respected accident repair centre. You will work on dismantling, refitting and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards with a focus on quality over speed.

The role offers a Monday to Friday schedule, a competitive up to £47,000 base with OTE £65,000+, banked weekly time-saving bonuses and generous benefits as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician in bodyshop or accident repair setting.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to follow technical repair methods accurately.
• ATA/NVQ Level 3 or IMI Level 3 qualification is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical trims, panels and components.
• Stripping and rebuilding vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Dismantling accident-damaged vehicles ahead of panel and paint stages.
• Fault finding, diagnostics and inspections.
• Steering, suspension, and wheel alignment as required.
• Ordering and fitting replacement parts.
• Reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Working on bodywork, trim and all mechanical/electrical aspects within remit.
• Following manufacturer repair methods and ensuring quality and safety.

What You'll Be Doing: MET Technician

• Performing fault finding, diagnostics, and inspections

• Ordering and fitting replacement parts
• Carefully reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition
• Working on bodywork, trim, and all mechanical/electrical aspects within your remit
• Following manufacturer repair methods and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
• Managing repair times effectively and ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines

What You'll Need:

• Previous experience as a MET Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair setting
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to follow technical repair methods accurately
• An ATA, NVQ Level 3, or IMI Level 3 qualification would be a big advantage
• A proactive mindset and pride in delivering high-quality work
