Job summary

Perfect Placement is representing a reputable accident repair centre in Liverpool seeking a skilled MET Technician. You will conduct strip and fit work, work with ADAS systems, and ensure vehicle repair quality to manufacturer standards in a modern workshop.

Ideal candidates have MET experience in bodyshops, strong electrical knowledge, and attention to detail. NVQ/IMI/ATA qualifications are preferred; training and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

  • Proven MET Technician experience in accident repair or bodyshop.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Familiarity with modern vehicle construction and repair methods.
  • Experience in plastic repairs is advantageous.
  • NVQ/IMI/ATA qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting strip and fit (MET) work as part of vehicle repairs.
  • Removing and refitting trim components, bumpers, headlights, sensors, and other parts.
  • Performing electrical disconnections and reconnections following manufacturer procedures.
  • Working with modern electrical systems, including ADAS technology.
  • Carrying out plastic repairs to vehicle components where required.
  • Following manufacturer repair methods and technical guidelines.
  • Identifying additional damage and reporting findings to relevant team members.
  • Collaborating with Panel and Paint Technicians, and Workshop Controllers.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to high standards.
  • Performing quality checks prior to vehicle handover.

Duties of the MET Technician:
