Job summary

Tru Talent is recruiting a MET Technician to join a busy bodyshop in Cambridgeshire. You will repair vehicles to manufacturer specifications using the latest equipment and techniques.

Role includes diagnostics, geometry work, and alignment, with a 40-hour Mon-Fri week. 30 days holiday and achievable bonuses are offered as part of the extras package.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship as MET Technician or Strip Fitter.
• Technical qualification (NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ).
• Experience in busy bodyshop and 4-wheel alignment.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre.
• Follow repair techniques and lines with factory specifications.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and fix them.
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.

Our client is looking for a talented and efficientMET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip &Fit Technicianto join a leading team. You will be repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications in a state-of-the-art body shop, using the latest equipment and techniques.

Key Responsibilities of an MET Technician/ MET Strip Fitter / Car Fitter / Strip &Fit Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow the correct repair techniques and produce work in line with factory specifications and customer satisfaction
• Conduct detailed inspections to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair or replace damaged mechanical, electrical, and trim components
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts as needed
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and fix issues in the vehicle's systems
• Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed
• Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
