Clear Automotive Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking a MET Technician/Strip & Fitter in Bristol. This role focuses on accurate, high-quality accident repair work in a fully equipped workshop.

You'll strip vehicles, fit trims, and conduct diagnostics, with a path to progression in a respected repair centre. Monday to Friday shifts and generous leave are offered, plus benefits and sick pay. Join a team that values precision and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous MET Technician experience in a bodyshop or accident repair setting.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to follow technical repair methods accurately.
• ATA, NVQ Level 3, or IMI Level 3 qualification would be a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical and electrical trims, panels and components.
• Strip and rebuild vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Dismantle accident-damaged vehicles ahead of panel and paint stages.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics and inspections.
• Work on steering, suspension and wheel alignment as required.
• Order and fit replacement parts.
• Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Follow repair methods and ensure quality and safety standards.

MET Technician / Strip & Fit - Accident Repair Specialist

What You'll Be Doing: MET Technician

• Professionally stripping and rebuilding vehicles, ensuring work is completed to manufacturer standards
• Dismantling accident-damaged vehicles ahead of panel and paint stages
• Performing fault finding, diagnostics, and inspections
• Steering, suspension, and wheel alignment work as required
• Ordering and fitting replacement parts
• Carefully reassembling vehicles to pre-accident condition
• Working on bodywork, trim, and all mechanical/electrical aspects within your remit
• Following manufacturer repair methods and ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
• Managing repair times effectively and ensuring work is completed within agreed timelines

What You'll Need:

• Previous experience as a MET Technician in a bodyshop or accident repair setting
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
• Ability to follow technical repair methods accurately
• An ATA, NVQ Level 3, or IMI Level 3 qualification would be a big advantage
• A proactive mindset and pride in delivering high-quality work
