Job summary

ABL 1 Touch is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join our team in the UK. The role operates Monday to Friday from 10:00AM to 7:30PM with no weekend work, offering a competitive salary plus shift allowance and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will inspect vehicle structures, remove and refit mechanical and electrical components, ensure safety compliance, and carry out quality checks. A full UK driving licence and auto electrical qualifications are essential; AC/encapsulated glass

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in motor vehicle body repair.
• Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience.
• Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems.
• Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components and paintwork.
• Ensuring vehicles meet all safety requirements prior to handover.
• Removing, storing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases.
• Reassembling vehicles following repair, carrying out detailed quality checks.
• Performing 4-wheel alignments where required.
• Completing quality control checks, final sign-off and ATA documentation.
• Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment.
• Following approved repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate and visible.
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks, beam settings and recording warnings on job cards.
• Ensuring all safety-critical components are fitted and torqued to specification.

As anMET Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all vehicle repairs are completed safely, accurately and to manufacturer and industry standards.
