Job summary

ABL 1 Touch Group Limited is seeking a MET Technician in the United Kingdom. The role runs Monday to Friday from 09:30AM to 19:00PM, with a competitive salary up to £60,000 per year depending on experience.

You will inspect vehicle structure and components, ensure safety before handover, remove and refit parts, perform 4-wheel alignments, and complete QA checks. A strong mechanical background and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in motor vehicle body repair.
• Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience.
• Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems.
• Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Air Conditioning and Encapsulated Glass training (preferred).
• Flexible, team-focused approach with a positive attitude.
• High levels of professionalism, accountability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components and paintwork.
• Ensuring vehicles meet safety requirements prior to handover.
• Removing, storing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases.
• Reassembling vehicles after repair and conducting quality checks.
• Performing 4-wheel alignments where required.
• Completing quality control checks, final sign-off and ATA documentation.
• Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements.
• Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment.
• Following repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate.

As anMET Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all vehicle repairs are completed safely, accurately and to manufacturer and industry standards.

Responsibilities of a MET Technician will include:

• Inspecting vehicle structure, mechanical components and paintwork

• Ensuring vehicles meet all safety requirements prior to handover

• Removing, storing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components

• Safely handling and disposing of vehicle fluids and gases

• Reassembling vehicles following repair, carrying out detailed quality checks

• Performing 4-wheel alignments where required

• Completing quality control checks, final sign-off and ATA documentation

• Identifying and reporting faults or additional repair requirements

• Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment

• Following approved repair methods and ensuring documentation is accurate and visible

• Carrying out vehicle safety checks, beam settings and recording warnings on job cards

• Ensuring all safety-critical components are fitted and torqued to specification

Skills and experience required as a MET Technician:

• A minimum of5 years' experiencein motor vehicle body repair

• Auto electrical qualifications and practical experience

• Knowledge of computerised wheel alignment systems

• Strong mechanical and suspension knowledge

• A full UK driving licence

• RecognisedAir Conditioning and Encapsulated Glasstraining (preferred)
