Job summary

Autotech Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a busy accident repair centre in Milton Keynes. You will perform mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on vehicles involved in accident damage, ensuring workmanship meets manufacturer standards and safety requirements.

We are looking for a skilled individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and ensuring vehicles are restored to manufacturer and safety standards.

The Role

As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on vehicles involved in accident damage. Working as part of a collaborative bodyshop team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) repairs.
• Remove and refit vehicle components, panels and trim.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
• Work closely with panel, paint and workshop teams.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets manufacturer standards.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

• Fully qualified MET Technician preferred.
• Previous accident repair/bodyshop experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Junior technicians with several years of relevant automotive experience may also be considered.
