Job summary

Adam Curtis Specialist Automotive Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a busy accident repair centre in Dartford. The role involves removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles, with a focus on safety, accuracy and efficiency.

You will work with the bodyshop team to ensure repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards, with a 47.5-hour week and no requirement to work Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Previous MET Technician experience in an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
• ATA accreditation or manufacturer training would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

MET Technician

Dartford, Kent

£20.00 to £24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Approximately £49,400 to £59,280 per annum based on contracted hours

Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm
47.5-hour working week
No Saturdays required

Our client, an established and busy accident repair centre in Dartford, is looking to recruit an experienced MET Technician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the removal, refitting and replacement of mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles. You will work closely with the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles are repaired safely, accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components
• Identifying additional damage or required parts during dismantling
• Carrying out diagnostic checks where required
• Reassembling vehicles following body and paint repairs

The ideal candidate

• Previous experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
• Strong mechanical, electrical and vehicle trim knowledge
• Able to dismantle and reassemble vehicles accurately and safely
• Comfortable working on a range of vehicle makes and models
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Able to work independently and as part of a busy bodyshop team
• Relevant qualifications, ATA accreditation or manufacturer training would be advantageous

Working hours

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break and a 20-minute paid tea break.

As the workshop opens at 6:00am, there may also be the option to work from 6:00am to 4:00pm. No Saturdays are required, although optional overtime may be available during busy periods.
