Job summary

Clear Automotive in Dartford is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a modern, well-equipped accident repair centre.

You will remove and refit components, strip and rebuild vehicles to manufacturer standards, and carry out diagnostics with a focus on high quality repairs.

The role offers a new enhanced bonus scheme, a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible early starts, career progression, enhanced sick pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET Technician, Strip Fitter, or Bodyshop Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to follow repair methods accurately.
• ATA/NVQ Level 3 or IMI Level 3 is advantageous.
• Positive attitude and commitment to high-quality repairs.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical, and trim components.
• Strip and rebuild vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Dismantle accident-damaged vehicles for repair.
• Carry out diagnostics, inspections, and fault-finding.
• Complete steering, suspension, and wheel alignment work.
• Order and fit replacement parts.
• Reassemble vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Ensure repairs meet quality, safety, and manufacturer requirements.
