Job summary

Independent Body Shop in Southend-on-Sea, Essex is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join their team. You will perform mechanical, electrical and trim repairs on accident-damaged vehicles and work alongside the body repair team to ensure quality workmanship.

A basic salary of £40,000–£48,000 per year is offered, DOE. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm with alternate Saturday mornings. ATA qualification would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous MET Technician experience in a body shop or accident repair environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Professional and reliable approach.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driving licence.
• ATA qualification would be an advantage, although relevant experience and skills will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs following accident damage
• Removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components
• Carrying out vehicle strip and refit work
• Identifying damaged components and reporting any additional work required
• Working closely with the body repair team to ensure repairs are completed efficiently
• Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer and safety requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment

e are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician for a very successful independent - Independent Body Shop (Cars) based in the Southend on Sea, Essex area

Basic Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience and skills

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm, plus alternate Saturday mornings

This is a great opportunity for an experienced MET technician looking to join an established independent business where quality workmanship, attention to detail and a professional approach are valued. As an MET Technician, you will be responsible for the mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of vehicle repair following accident damage.
