Job summary

Bath & North East Somerset Council is inviting applications for an experienced Recovery Senior Practitioner to provide professional and clinical leadership within the Mental Health Recovery Team. You will influence service delivery, ensure high standards of practice, and oversee complex cases across health and social care in a recovery-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Registered practitioner with responsibility for professional standards and safeguarding.
• Experience leading teams and providing professional, clinical supervision.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and mental health law.
• Commitment to recovery-focused, strengths-based, person-centred practice.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and influence service improvement.
• Experience in supervision and CPD for staff in social care or mental health.
• Willingness to travel across Bath and partner sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and clinical leadership within an integrated mental health team.
• Provide legal literacy and social care oversight in the integrated team.
• Manage and oversee complex cases within legislative and policy frameworks.
• Offer management, professional and clinical supervision to practitioners.
• Promote multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
• Support quality assurance, practice development and service improvement initiatives.
• Lead on specialist areas of practice and develop treatment pathways.
• Build relationships with partners across health, social care and community.
• Contribute to service planning and performance management.
