Job summary

Together for Mental Wellbeing is seeking a Service Lead to support the Service Manager by guiding staff, conducting robust risk assessments and developing personalised recovery plans for residents with complex needs. Deputising in the Manager's absence, you will oversee groups, coordinate staff, and ensure high standards of care and compliance at York Road.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care / Health & Social Care.
• Commitment to empowerment and user involvement in mental health services.
• Ability to respond to service users’ needs promptly and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff in creating and reviewing robust risk assessments and personalised recovery plans.
• Assess new service users and prepare management plans prior to admission to York Road.
• Support service users to achieve goals via key work and recovery-focused interventions.
• Organise weekly key worker sessions using Recovery Star, WRAP and person-centred planning.
• Plan and lead groups on mental health, living skills, nutrition, mindfulness, and more.
• Organise rota of activities and events; contribute to flexi team work.
• Broker CBT/DBT interventions with specialists and provide basic CBT training to staff.
• Help service users prepare for independence, including CVs and online applications.
• Identify move-on accommodation and engage families and networks for transitions.
• Advise on benefits and tenancy rights when needed.
• Facilitate access to training and employment, linking service users with placements.
• Contribute to team performance and supervise staff, including relief staff.
• Provide outcome-defined evidence to commissioners with service user involvement.
• Maintain health, safety, and security; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure service delivery aligns with legislation, Together’s values, policies, and contracts.
