Job summary

Co-op is hiring a Membership Analyst to join the Advanced Insight & Analytics team in Manchester. You will turn complex membership and customer data into clear, actionable insights that inform decisions across the business and support our membership strategy.

You'll work with stakeholders, use SQL and Excel to analyse data, tell compelling stories with findings, and contribute to cross-functional projects that improve member experiences. Hybrid role in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Experience in data analytics or analytics roles, ideally in customer, membership or retail environments.
• Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming and analysing data from multiple sources.
• Advanced Excel skills to manipulate data, spot trends and produce meaningful insights.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for a range of audiences.
• Experience creating data visualisations and presenting insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse membership and customer data to answer business questions and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities where data can support decisions.
• Source, manipulate and interrogate data from multiple systems to produce reliable analysis and insights.
• Use analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends and opportunities within customer data.
• Support regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis across membership and customer engagement.
• Present findings in a clear way to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects to improve member and customer outcomes.
