Job summary

Co-op Group is seeking a Membership Data Analyst in Manchester to transform membership and customer data into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions across the business. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders, perform data manipulation, and deliver clear recommendations to improve member engagement.

The role combines home and office work (hybrid) with a strong emphasis on building analytics capability within our Advanced Insight & Analytics team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data analysis or analytics role, ideally in customer/membership/retail.
• Strong SQL skills with experience extracting, transforming and analysing data from multiple sources.
• Advanced Excel skills to manipulate data, spot trends and derive insights.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for varied audiences.
• Experience creating data visualisations and presenting insights clearly.

Responsibilities

• Analyse membership and customer data to answer business questions and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Work with stakeholders to understand challenges and identify where data can help decision-making.
• Source, manipulate and interrogate data from multiple systems for reliable analysis.
• Use analytical techniques to identify trends and opportunities within customer data.
• Support regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis across membership and customer engagement activities.
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects that use data to improve member and customer outcomes.
• Share knowledge and best practices to grow an analytics community at Co-op.
