Kier Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (MEICA) to join Kier Design on water projects nationwide, delivering mechanical design for pumping stations and treatment works across UK water companies. You should be a Chartered Engineer or close to chartership with IET or IMechE, with experience in water, wastewater or process industries and a solid grasp of SH&E requirements.

The role offers a 40-hour week with some flexibility and the chance to work in a fully integrated design-and-build delivery

Formación

• Chartered Engineer or close to chartership with IET or IMechE membership.
• Experience in water, wastewater or process industries, including hydraulic design and pumping systems.
• Strong problem solving and decision making with SH&E requirements.
• Ability to analyze information, data, patterns, trends to make decisions.
• Able to pass BPSS requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Producing detailed mechanical designs for pumping stations, treatment works and network assets for potable water and wastewater.
• Preparing mechanical design requirements from client briefs and challenging where necessary.
• Providing support for mechanical design including feasibility studies and concept evaluation.
• Ensuring designs comply with UK water industry standards (WIMES), British Standards, Water Regulations, CDM 2015 and client specifications.
• Collaborating with civil, electrical and process engineers for integrated asset design.
