Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to join our United Utilities Water Framework team based in the North West. This role focuses on delivering safe, compliant, right-first-time mechanical and electrical works across water infrastructure projects.

You will coordinate design, procurement, construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities, working with project managers, site teams and technical specialists to meet quality, safety and programme

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience delivering mechanical and/or electrical works on capital projects, ideally in UK water/utilities/infrastructure environments.
• Ability to read and coordinate technical drawings, specifications and equipment schedules.
• Experience with RAMS, permits and commissioning documentation.”

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical work packages (pumps, valves, MCCs, LV, drives, instrumentation, control systems).
• Review design information, specs, drawings and technical submissions for compliance.
• Support procurement and package management with designers, construction teams and subcontractors.
• Produce RAMS, permits, inspection and test plans, commissioning packs and handover records.
• Monitor installation progress, safety, quality and programme interfaces; assist testing and commissioning.
