Job summary

Village Hotels in Warrington is seeking a Meetings and Events Assistant Manager to turn the sales plan into reality on the events floor. You will manage shifts, set up spaces, oversee AV equipment, and coach your team to deliver an electric atmosphere that boosts bar revenue.

In this role you will lead the floor, drive the commercial hustle, liaise with sales and event organisers, and ensure a warm welcome and smooth departure for every delegate.

Qualifications

• Proactive, hands-on commercial operator with ability to manage floor and AV setup.

Responsibilities

• The Floor Delivery: ensure spaces are set up to brand standards and demonstrate AV tech; room immaculate before guest arrival.
• The Team Leadership: deputise for the M&E Operations Manager, conduct 1:1s, run training sessions, coach on the floor.
• The Commercial Hustle: upsell at every opportunity, drive bar targets, monitor payroll costs for profitability.
• The Guest Experience: liaise with sales and event organisers to resolve issues and welcome/depart guests.
