Job summary

SCOR is seeking a proactive administrative trainee to support underwriting and claims services in London. You will process work, update databases, manage workflows, and help with MI and reporting while learning underwriting fundamentals.

This role offers exposure to reinsurance underwriting concepts, risk assessment, and developing authority with support from experienced underwriters. You will collaborate across teams to improve processes and contribute to timely decisions for clients.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with ability to manage own workload.
• Proactive and takes ownership of tasks.
• Strong interest in underwriting and career progression.
• Experience in Protection value chain across distributors, insurers, or reinsurers.
• Knowledge of Protection insurance/reinsurance concepts.
• Ability to build relationships with team and stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret MI results.
• Medical knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support quick and accurate assessment of underwriting cases and claims.
• Update databases, manage workflow, and monitor service levels.
• Check in-force data for existing policies.
• Assist with production of MI and performance analysis.
• Develop systems to automate administrative processes in underwriting and claims.
• Learn SCOR and clients' underwriting philosophies and how to apply these in practice.
• Support training, events or meetings as needed.
• Work with underwriters to progress toward underwriting authority.
