Job summary

SCOR is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support the Construction department in EMEA, based in London. You will work with five underwriters, assist in pricing, analysis and responding to brokers with indications or declinatures, while ensuring policy documentation and KYC compliance.

You will review submissions, maintain risk documentation, and contribute to underwriting process improvements. The role requires strong analytical and MS Office skills, with a proactive, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level or equivalent qualifications.
• Bachelor degree in engineering, actuarial/mathematics, finance, Insurance or risk management.
• ACII Diploma or equivalent.
• Progression towards a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Undertwriting within guidelines for NBIs, renewals, new business and endorsements.
• Contract certainty checks on all lead slips.
• Ensure KYC is up to date on SCOR Europe business.
• Review and rate enquiries to obtain adequacy ratios.
• Liaise with underwriter to ensure contract wording is fit for purpose.
• Produce management information and ad hoc reports for senior management.
• Participate in cross-team projects and duties as required.
