Job summary

Patient First in Aberdeen is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated team. You will perform quality lab analyses, handle specimen collection, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain records in the laboratory information system.

You will support Physicians and Nurses, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety and quality control standards. Applicants should have a high school diploma with relevant lab training or an associate/bachelor in chemistry, biology, or medical

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing experience required.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work under pressure.
• Education requirements as listed and relevant lab training.
• CPR certification preferred or required by facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality lab analyses with knowledge of procedures and safety.
• Follow specimen collection, handling, and processing procedures and maintain records.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document calibrations and maintenance.
• Order lab supplies in the medical record system per orders from Physicians.
• Assist Physicians, Extenders, and Nurses with patient care and vitals.
• Troubleshoot test systems and notify supervisors of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness of lab and treatment areas; restock equipment.
• Operate and maintain medical and office equipment as trained.
