Job summary

Brightshores is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant in Southampton to join a diagnostic team. The MLA will collect samples, perform tests, and assist with setting up and maintaining equipment in a fast-paced lab environment.

Requirements include MLA/CSMLS certification and secondary education; phlebotomy experience is an asset. The role involves shift work, standard safety practices, and collaboration across departments to ensure patient safety and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• MLA diploma or certification required (MLPAO/CSMLS).
• Secondary education or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy experience an asset.
• Familiarity with lab software systems (LIS, DMS).
• Ability to interact with staff, physicians, patients and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Collect samples and conduct medical laboratory tests.
