NHS is seeking a full-time or part-time Medical Secretary to join their administrative team. Responsibilities include managing referrals, ensuring data security, and providing comprehensive clerical support to clinicians. The ideal candidate will be IT literate, possess excellent communication skills, and work effectively in a team.
The Lansdowne Surgery are looking for a FTE Medical Secretary to join our administrative team and provide clerical support for our clinicians. Typical workload will consist of E-RS referrals, community referrals, Non-NHS administration work (where needed) and communication with other healthcare providers.
The role can be as a FTE or as a job share between two part time applicants, we are interested in hearing from all.
Sound knowledge of Windows and MS Office
Awareness of data security requirements
IT literate
Good verbal and written communication skills
Flexible approach, team player, good sense of humour
Knowledge of Systm One would be an advantage
The Lansdowne Surgery services approx. 7,000 patients in the Devizes and surrounding villages area. We work closely with other practices in our PCN to deliver a innovative and first of its kind, purpose built Urgent Care Centre delivering exceptional same-day care. The Lansdowne Surgery comprises of 4 GP Partners, each with their own patients lists with a strong focus on contiunity and 'Family GP' practice.

In the performance of the duties outlined in this Job Description, the post-holder may have access to confidential information relating to patients and their carers, practice staff and other healthcare workers. Using personal security systems within the workplace according to practice guidelines
Identifying the risks involved in work activities and undertaking such activities in a way that manages those risks

Using appropriate infection control procedures, maintaining work areas in a tidy and safe way and free from hazards
