Join the Paediatric Community Team with NHS as a Secretary, supporting essential administrative functions. This role involves managing diaries, queries, and providing organizational support to clinical staff. Ideal candidates will have proven secretarial experience, RSA III typing, and effective interpersonal skills. To provide a comprehensive secretarial service to the Paediatric Community Team for North Somerset.
To act as an effective link across NHS staff, other departments, GPs, general public and other relevant bodies.
Secretarial support for clinical and secretarial team.
Photocoping/Scanning and other administrative duties.
Audio/copying typing of letters, reports and correspondence.
Organise various meetings as requested by clinical staff.
Requesting and chasing test results.
Act as point of contact between parents, professionals and clinicians, dealing with queries via telephone, email and face to face.
Ensure pending lists are maintained in accordance with patient access policy.
To ensure all clerical activity is recorded accurately for activity purposes in a timely manner.
Ensure effective diary systems are in place, updated and maintained.
To be an effective team member and raised concerns to manager.
To assist in training new members of staff.
To cover reception as needed.
To adhere to high standard of confidentiality and data protection.
To follow the health and safety act and adhere to other policies.
To undertake training as and when necessary.
To work across Community Paediatric sites across Bristol North Somerset and South Glos.
