NHS Tayside invites applications for a Medical Secretary within the Psychiatry of Old Age Team in Angus. An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Medical Secretary, to work within our Psychiatry of Old Age Team in Angus.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to our Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychology and associated Clinical Teams. Responsibilities include organising consultant workload and providing the main point of contact between clinical staff and service users. The role is specialised in content and diverse in range and the ability to work without direct supervision and determine own workload priorities are essential.
The successful applicant must demonstrate highly developed interpersonal and communication and customer care skills; verbal, written and IT. A sound working knowledge and basic understanding of medical terminology along with advanced keyboard skills; accuracy, audio typing and proficient use of software systems are essential.
Applicants must have an HNC/SVQIII in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or equivalent qualification/work experience and previous experience at Band 3 or above.
